Over the Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend Ang, Cody, and Haddi came to Austin to visit us. It was a busy and fun-filled and food filled weekend, but we still managed some lazy days in between. They arrived on Thursday night and Raul went to pick them up at the airport because Libby was already snoring away. Raul had to work a half day on Friday, so I made breakfast and we all got ready for the day. When Raul got home we went to The Flying Saucer for lunch then home for naps (not just for the girls!). Everyone managed to sneak a LONG nap in except for Miss Libby who decided 20 minutes would be sufficient and guess who got to get up with her?! Lucky me, so we played in her room until everyone awoke from their slumber! That night we cooked a yummy supper and hung out. After the girls went to bed for the night, Ang and I challenged the guys to a game of Pictionary. They agreed, and we were told we were going to get a whoopin. Well two rounds later their marker was still ONE space away from Start! Let's just say the ladies kicked some booty, but we were good sports. I don't think we stopped laughing for the entire game! Raul made breakfast the next morning, and we all got ready for a day on the town. We went downtown to Zilker Park and found the huge playground and mini train. The girls swung and played and then we all took the 20 minute mini train ride around Zilker. It was so beautiful that day 67 degrees and sunny! Then we went to Hula Hut to eat. Big mistake, not because it was a bad place to eat but because the girls hadn't had a nap. Needless to say we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked to. Sunday was a pretty lazy day. Raul smoked pork on the smoker and the guys watched football. Ang and I got to sneak away without the kids for pedicures and lunch. It was wonderful! Sunday night we played Guesstures and laughed some more. Finally, on Monday morning we went to the Austin Children's Museum before I took them to the airport. I love when people come to visit because we get to explore Austin even more. There is so much to do here and so many yummy places to eat! We had a great weekend!
