Fall Festival

Today Raul's work had a fall festival for the employees and their families.  They had free food, face painting, games, candy, a small train, balloon animals, bouncy houses, a jumbo-tron with the football game on, a costume contest, and live music (80's cover band - The Spazmatics).  It was a lot of fun!  The Covington's came too and Libby got plenty of attention!  She loves hanging with the big kids.  In fact, she didn't take her usual late afternoon nap, but was happy the entire time, even when we dressed her up!  All in all Lib had a very busy Halloween before Halloween.  We'll probably just stay home and pass out candy tomorrow!!

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we met our friends at a pumpkin patch to take a few pictures.  Before we left for our outing Libby was not in the greatest mood, but as soon as we got there she was fine.  She loves being out and about and is quite the ham.  I'm not sure where she gets that!  ;)  She loved looking at the other babies, the pumpkins, and especially the straw.  Some of the babies were eating it, but she just wanted to play with it.  We had a good time, and she and I are both making some great friends!

Friends

Friends are great at any age!

My How Fast They Grow

This bear was a present from the Easter bunny.  Every few months we like to take pictures of Libby next to it, so we can see how much she grows and changes.

Swinging at the Playground

After our walk this morning I took Libby to the swings.  She's finally big enough to fit in the baby swings if she is all the way forward in it.  She LOVED swinging!  She was laughing and giggling in delight.

Meeting the Covingtons

Last weekend we drove up to Dallas to visit friends.  Our friends have two sets of twin girls and one boy.  Yes, that's right TWO sets of twins.  The kids are awesome!  They were so sweet with Libby.  We had the chance to go see some of them play in soccer games, and they even bought Libby her own soccer ball.  They are breaking her in early.  We had a really fun time and Lib loved all of the attention!  Thanks for having us guys!

Just one of the big kids!

Play Group

I joined a group called Central Austin Parents.  The group consists of parents of babies who were born in 2010 and 2011.  I found the group on meetup.com because I wanted to start meeting people in this new place.  Each week there are various events to attend and opportunities to meet up!  We go on walks, have play dates in the park (Well, the babies crawl around on blankets and the moms talk!), go to story time, etc.  I've met some really nice ladies so far, and Libby is making some great friends too!  It's fun to get out of the house, visit, play, and even get some exercise.  This was our most recent meet up at the park.

In this picture I'm holding one of the babies.  Libby's not so sure about the situation.  After she assessed the situation, she decided it was fine, and she would play with the baby's toes!
