Libby's 1st Haircut

Today I took Libby to get her bangs trimmed.  They were a bit out of control, and I wasn't about to do it myself.  She probably would have ended up bald!  She was such a good girl and loved Tina, my hair girl.  She sat still on the chair all by herself!  Here are the before, during and after shots. It's a little shorter than I would have liked, but it will grow fast.  It looks so much better!

Libby's 1st Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving here in Austin with my mom and sister Shannon. Thanksgiving is funny because you cook all day, have the meal, which lasts about 20 minutes, and then you have a disaster of a kitchen to clean up.  Oh well, it was well worth it!  We cooked all day and had a delicious meal.  Raul smoked the turkey on his smoker, and it turned out great!  We gave Lib some sweet potatoes with cinnamon and after she ate she decided it would be much more fun to play with them!  Libby sported her Thanksgiving gear all day from turkey pj's to a cute handmade turkey onesie made by Joelie.  She was the most stylish of all of us.  In fact, I think I wore my "fancy" sweatpants all day Shocker, I know!  The weather was beautiful on Friday, so we took a walk around Town Lake and had lunch downtown.  It was a wonderful Thanksgiving, and we have so much to be thankful for.

Hangin' With the Girls

Today we had a few friends over for a barbecue.  Raul smoked a brisket and we had lots of other yummy food like roasted broccoli with pine nuts, tortellini pasta salad, black bean salad, queso, and fried potatoes with basil and paprika.  I found a lot of these recipes on Pinterest (my latest addiction).  If you don't know about Pinterest, go, and check it out!  We had quite the feast.  The girls got to play and the adults were able to meet and visit.  Libby had fun with her friends Sophia, Isabel, Sydney, and Maggie.  By the way, November is almost over, and we had the air conditioning running!  We even were able to sit outside for bit.  It was a fun Sunday afternoon!

As soon has Libby saw the camera she started hamming it up!

It looks like they are having a very important conversation here.

Happy Anniversary

Today Raul and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary.  It's amazing how fast time flies.  The past three years have kind of been a whirlwind!  A lot has happened in a somewhat short period of time.  We bought a house, I was in a car accident, Raul got a new job, we moved to Austin, and best of all we had a beautiful baby girl!  I have a wonderful, thoughtful, caring husband who takes care of his family and makes me laugh everyday!  I love you Raul.  Happy Anniversary!

Gutierrez Clan Visit

Last weekend some of Raul's family came for a visit.  Libby's Grandpa Steve and Grandma Jill, Uncle Eric, Aunt Karen, and cousins Michael, Megann, and Daniel (1st time she met Daniel) all came to see her.  We had a great time eating, drinking, playing with Libby, visiting, getting pedicures (the girls), and checking out Austin!  While we were downtown we ran into my friend Vanessa, her fiance, Trey, and Libby's friend, Sophia, so of course we had to get a picture in!  What are the chances of being downtown, at the statue of Stevie Ray Vaughan, at the exact same time?!  Pretty crazy if you ask me!

Six Month Pics

A few weeks ago we took Libby to a park in Round Rock to get her six month pictures done.  I slacked a bit.  Actually, a lot.  About a month to be exact!.  She was almost seven months getting her six month pics done.  Oh well.  They turned out very cute!  She was in a great mood and made some really cute faces.  The photographer was great and very affordable!  And no, she is not sitting on the hood of the truck by herself.  Raul was holding onto her and the photographer photo shopped his arm out.

Looking at her daddy!

I love this face!!

So serious.  I just want to pinch those cheeks!

San Antonio

Last weekend Raul surprised me with a trip to San Antonio for my birthday.  We packed up after he got off work and headed down.  It was a quick drive (only about an hour and half away).  We checked into the Hotel Valencia and had a great view of the Riverwalk.  While we were there we visited the Alamo, ate at some yummy restaurants, and walked around.  It was nice to get away for the weekend.  Thank you, Raul, for a wonderful birthday!!

Her bangs are out of control!

Still not sure about beans!

She was worn out by the end of the day!
