Exciting Moments

This has by far been my favorite age so far.  I think it's because I've really been able to enjoy being with her without worrying about homework or work.  It's so nice not to have anymore homework!!  One of my favorite parts of the day is going into her room when she wakes up in the morning.  She is so smily and happy.  She squeals in delight when she hears me come in and say, "Good morning!"  I love it!

Last week was a big week for Libby. She got her first tooth!  It broke through and the one next to it is about to do the same thing.  They are on the bottom row right in the front.  This is what she says to cutting teeth.....

Libby also started eating big-girl food!  We started rice cereal and she loves it, although some of her faces show otherwise.

She also got a new big-girl chair!

Some of Libby's Aunts

Libby has seven aunts and three great aunts.  Needless to say she has lots of women to look up to.  Her great aunt Michelle and her aunt Kelly came to Utah to visit before we moved.  We had a great time!

Five Months Old

Today Libby turned five months old!  I never really thought much about people saying,"They grow up so fast."  But it's true, they do, and I've enjoyed every minute being Libby's mommy.  She is growing so quickly, filling out and even starting to get a few rolls on her legs.  She started pulling her upper body up from a laying position and will probably be sitting up in no time.  She squeals and "talks," never stops smiling, and even has a bit of a temper if she doesn't get what she needs right away!  This week she has been helping me unpack the house.  I gave her some of the packing paper, and she played with it while she sat in her Bumbo seat.  She is such a joy in our lives.  We love our little Libby Lou!

Joseph and Laurel's Wedding

Last month Raul, Libby, and I went on a family road trip to Estes Park, CO for my brother's wedding.  He married Laurel who is wonderful and the wedding was beautiful.  It was really great having everyone together.  Libby's great uncle who lives in Ethiopia was even there.  Congratulations Joseph and Laurel!
